School Story:
Again, where to begin. Real quick - I feel lucky because I went to Faulk Elementary AND Glenn Stevens Elementary - so I'm one of the few people who "knew" most of our class from wayyy back when we were little tikes. Awesome memories from Ridgewood Pool and Little League, then Jefferson Middle for the whole 3-year stretch. Failed 9th grade, Shabazz for 10th... cranked out part of 11th and 12th back full circle with my peoples in JMM '90. I was kinda like Farris Bueler - friends with everyone. B-winger at heart, sat in the Commons at will, stayed cool with the rich kids. Skipping lots of school and dancing every weekend at Wally Gator's helped me appreciate the diversity of Madison - friends from all over the city. I went to H.S. in Akron, Ohio for about a year too - half of 11th and 12th. That was a trip. They like to fight down there. Haha. When all was said and done I had switched high schools 9 times between the three schools. Expelled in Akron. I finally got it together after high school and spent two (voluntary) years at a military junior college in New Mexico. LA for a few years with stars in my eyes. Where did the years go?? - Alright, this is long enough. If you're still reading this I hope we get a chance to chat at the reunion so I can hear all about your adventures and current bliss. If you recognize the sparkle in my left eye stop and say hi. Don't be a stranger anymore. - sMC :)
