Rebecca Miller

Rebecca L. "Becky" Miller, age 28 of Hot Springs, South Dakota, formerly of Madison, died on Thursday, March 29, 2000 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota.  Becky was born on December 7, 1971 to Ron and Cheryl Miller in Madison.  She graduated from Memorial High School at Madison in 1990 and graduated from Northland College at Ashland in 1994.  She obtained a bachelor of science in outdoor education.  She enjoyed traveling and spent time in Norway and Italy.  Becky worked for Grand Teton National Park and Boise National Forest.  Becky was compassionate, humorous, caring and very sharing with others.  She loved children and the ederly.  She cared for the environment and enjoyed backpacking, bicycling and hiking.  Becky was an active member of Bethesda Lutheran church in youth activities.  She was also on the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home Bowling Team and took part in Ski for Life.  Grateful to have shared in her life are her parents, Ronald and Cheryl Miller of Waverly, Ohio; her sister Rachel Miller (fiance Danny Peake) of Frankfort, Kentucky; her maternal Grandmother, Beyrnece Vivian of Ganton, Michigan; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Derrick Sletto of Hot Springs, South Dakota, Julie and Tatiana of Italy, Diane and Jerry and children of Hot Springs, South Dakota, and Ed and Sally of Hot Springs, South Dakota; Beckys Northland College friends, Mark, Brian, Michelle, Maureen, Mia and Jill; her pets, Agimuth and Soloman; and a host of other friends.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Douglas Vivian; her paternal grandparents, Erwin and Helen Miller; and an aunt, Joyce Sabo.  Becky was troubled and covered her feelings and anxieties.  We don't know the pain she was feeling, but we love her and pray we may someday understand.

I"m so sad to hear of Becky's passing.  She was a wonderful friend during high school, very happy. I wish we had been able to keep in touch after we graduated.
