In Memory

Jason Kammer

Jason John Kammer died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 22, 2002, at age 30.  He was born on March 6, 1972, the only child of Nancy Kammer-Benjamin and Bruce Richard Kammer.  Jason graduated from Memorial High School in 1990.  He followed in his father's footsteps for a short time in the dental technology business at D & S Laboratories.  He later began his own business, "Kammer's Lawn Service and Snow Removal," which became very successful due to the meticulous work down by he and his crew.  Jason was a hero to his boys and a dance partner to his daughter.  He epitomized the phrase "Mr. Mom" as he took over household duties when Kristi worked.  Everyone he knew appreciated his quiet and engaging sense of humor, his gentle nature, and his genuine interest in their lives.  He was a devoted husband, father, son and friend.  He is survived by his wife, Kristi (Sperle); daughter, Kelsi; sons, Dane and Jacob; his mother and step-father, Nancy Kammer-Benjamin and Robert Benjamin; and in-laws, Debbie and Miles Sperle.  He is further survived by his paternal grandparents, Agnes and Marvin Kammer; brother-in-law, Shane (Melissa); sister-in-law, Erica Sperle; and step siblings, Barbara Knopp, Steven Benjamin, Laurie Buffo and Linda Kidd.  He was preceded in death by his father; and maternal grandmother, Ethel Alt.
